In this starter workshop, you’ll gain a hands-on and engaging introduction to not just one, but three Romance languages. Rather than focusing on a single language, you’ll playfully explore the similarities and differences between Italian, Spanish, and French – and get a first glimpse into the dynamics of Romance multilingualism.
What can you expect?
Each language is presented in 30-minute slots – entertaining, interactive and accessible without any prior knowledge. By the end of the workshop, you will already be able to:
- greet people in all three languages
- talk about yourself (e.g. where you live, your studies, languages)
- express simple preferences and leisure activities
- and confidently distinguish between the languages.
Who is the workshop suitable for?
For all students – both those with no prior knowledge and those with some experience of a Romance language.
Date and Location:
- When: 16th September + 17th September 2025, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day
- Where: Pavilion 8, Room 0.16 (South Campus)
