German for Students in Programs Taught in English
Automation & Robotics / PSE / PBE / PCS /Sustainable Energy Systems / MMT / Data Science / Econometrics
If you are enrolled in an English-language master's oder bachelor's program at TU Dortmund University and have little or no knowledge of German, we offer German courses at various levels to accompany your studies.
For students in the MMT master's program, we offer a 6-hour German course in the winter semester with the target level A1. In the following summer semester, a 6-hour A2 course is offered. The course times are coordinated with the MMT timetable.
For students in the PSE and PBE master's programs, we offer a 6-hour German course with a target level of A1 in the winter semester. In the following summer semester, a 6-hour A2 course is usually offered. The course times are coordinated with the PSE / BPE timetable.
For students in the Automation and Robotics master's program, we offer two 3-hour German courses with a target level of A1.1 in the winter semester. In the following summer semester, two 3-hour A1.2 courses are offered. The course times are coordinated with the Automation and Robotics timetable.
For students in the Sustainable Energy Systems master’s program, we offer a 3-hour German course aimed at level A1.1 each winter semester. A 3-hour A1.2 course is offered in the following summer semester. The course times are coordinated with the Sustainable Energy Systems schedule.
For students in the Master's programs in Data Science and Econometrics, we offer 6-hour German courses at the target level A1 in the winter and summer semesters. The course times are tailored to the Data Science and Econometrics timetable.
For students in the Bachelor’s program in Political Conflict Studies (PCS), we offer a 6-hour German course at the A1 level during the winter semester. The course times are tailored to the PCS schedule.
Students from other Bachelor's or Master's programs can register for our general German courses (without being tied to a specific program).
